13 July 2006 - Plans for Next 2 Weekends

8:33 pm. Thursday night and that usually means that I should be preparing for Sabbath. Cleaning, ironing, polishing shoes, planning, sort finances and all that kind of stuff. Got to clean the bathroom soon, and was going to do some indoor exercise, but that will have to go by the way.

This coming Sabbath (Saturday), Jared and I will be going to Edens Landing SDA Church to meet up with frinds we met at AYC earlier this year. They're great friends. We'll hear Tina preach and the we'll have some lunch.

After that, we're going to Eight Mile Plains (EMP) SDA church to listen to a choir practice at 4pm, and (fit tea in hear somewhere) listen to a concert by Sandra Entermann, Susan James, Brisbane Adventist Voices, and other guest artists. It'll be a great sacred Christian concert.

Next Sabbath (22 July) we'll head to EMP church for the morning, catch up with friends again over lunch and hear another concert that night at Mt Gravatt.

I didn't get to write much about Sydney after last Friday...

Well, the conference ended and I caught the train from Central to Thornleigh station and caught up with Uncle John. Brief but really great to see him again. Shem picked me up from station and we opened Sabbath after sunset at the King's place. Really nice family. Got to know Mr & Mrs King, and David and Missy a bit better.

We went to Waitara SDA Church for youth program that night, and then back there Sabbath morning for church and Sabbath School. Got to meet up with Paul and Andrew (bro's from AYC) and Christiana, and met some new people also. Was encouraging to hear the stories of other youth in the church and the commitment they have.

Back to King's for lunch and then headed to Mona Vale and Palm Beach (northern beaches of Sydney) for an arvo walk. Really clear skies, and absolute beautiful view from Barrenjoey Lighthouse. Closed Sabbath, tea, socialised, and hit the sack.

Got up late Sunday, breakfast, showered, packed and headed for Pennant Hill's train station (coz it was near an ATM... I needed money :-) Met up with cousin Ash in Queen Victoria Building for lunch and got a photo outside Sydney Town Hall together. I really appreciated a bit of time to talk with my cousin.

Caught a later train to Central (talked with a few young bikies and surfies), then to Domestic Airport Terminal. Checked luggage in and arrived at the gate 40 minutes before boarding time. Boarded plane. Talked with people in flight and got some good photos of Sydney from plane. Caught Airport Flyer back to home in Merginandan.

"Hi Mum and Dad." Unpacked all my stuff... Bed.

In summary, was a good trip to Sydney... good for work, learnt good stuff, met nice people. Travel is fun!
