Criticism Can Be Healthy

The Bible speaks about us using the Scriptures for this type of activity (2 Tim 3:16,17). If we use the Bible as our basis and are seeking God’s will, we can’t go wrong! The results of constructive criticism is a perfect “man of God…, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” How much God longs for His church to pure and spotless.

If the Lord lays upon us the word of constructive criticism, we should be willing to sacrifice our eternal life for those to whom we are to speak! How seriously and unselfishly we should undertake this task.

The next time someone constructively criticises you, be humble enough to listen and seriously think about what they have said, even if it doesn’t sound quite how you would like them to say it. This may be the Lord reaching out to you, ready to lift you higher.
